Welcome to the inaugural post for Status THIS, a new blog and webcomic dedicated to social media and emerging web technologies.
The site is still being fleshed out, and a new template skin is forthcoming. In the meantime, I’ll be posting regular comics and blog posts that will (usually) have some connection to social media like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and the like.
There may even be a social-themed podcast on the horizon, so keep checking back.
Update: Wow, we just got reprinted by Mashable.com!! Huge thanks to everyone that’s checked out the comic so far and all the retweets and compliments. And major thanks to Adam at Mashable for asking to reprint it. This has been a truly astounding day. I hope that I’m able to continue to deliver a quality product. More info coming soon!
Also, I’m not surprisingly gaining a lot of new Twitter followers to @AtlantaJones. First, thank you all so much for that. I may eventually create a new Twitter handle for Status:THIS, but I’ll announce it if I do.
Update 2: Robert Scoble also posted the comic today! Absolutely an unbelievable day.
Update 3: Signed prints are now available. Just click the PayPal link above. Prints will be 8.5″ x 11″ glossy, with signature.

This is awesome, and looks a lot what I do before I place my orders.
haha I can so relate to this one!! looking forward to following your blog.
awesome! looking forward to your future social media comics.
Would be great if I could follow status THIS on facebook. Fan-Page plans?
i usually have to checkin with my phone under the table so my wife doesn't say “are you checking in on Foursquare again? WHY?”
I look very forward to following along here! When I read ..”from Atlanta” on Mashable…I zipped right over. Congrats from the North Georgia mountains!
Well done, Andrew !
Just saw it on Scoblizer ! => http://scobleizer.com/2010/01/29/the-foursquare...
This site is sweet! It's def top on my “procrastination time” websites list!
Can't wait for the next one. Thanks!
Hi Andrew, I would like to interview you for one of my blogs.Could you contact me by email?
Regards, Ron
This is hilarious. I've used Foursquare for the past few months but I always forget to checkin when I am at the place, and remember it at a later time. Auto-Checkin feature please….. lol.
I always try to do this on the sly, which can be tough because Foursquare is so damn slow on the iPhone. Great cartoon!
De momento pense que era una caricatura mia. For one moment I think that it was a cartoon of me
